My career in human resources began in 2003 after moving to Auckland from the South Island. I have worked in HR across several sectors and industries, including engineering and infrastructure, supply chain, public sector, FMCG, manufacturing and retail. I held senior HR management positions over that time including being part of executive teams.
I have been an HR Consultant since 2017, and I enjoy the varied challenges facing SME businesses and the impact we as HR Consultants can make. I am an HR generalist but am particularly experienced in change management, personality types and testing, culture and values, remuneration and benefits, and conflict resolution/employment relations. I enjoy partnering with businesses to truly understand their needs and provide proactive and pragmatic solutions to assist them to thrive. Using my psychology background every day helps me understand how to reward people, resolve conflict, and communicate effectively.
I have a Bachelor of Science from the University of Otago and a Master of Science in Industrial Psychology from the University of Canterbury. I also hold a Graduate Diploma in Business.
I have a husband and two young daughters, we love to do outdoor activities together including cycling, water skiing, camping and swimming. I used to be a competitive swimmer, and I try to swim as much as I can and enjoy going to the gym. I love reading in any downtime I have!
